Biosystems, Inc. was chartered as a private, for profit, company in the State of Georgia in 1976.
In 2006, our thirtieth year of continuous operations, additional facilities were added in order to provide the highest quality of services to meet our customers’ needs.

Name
Biosystems is derived from the Greek prefix “Bio” referring to life in its “infinite variety” (William Wadsworth).
Logo
Biosystems’ “wheel of life” is made of two concentric circles.
The outer circle is comprised of light [positive] sticks contrasted against a dark [negative] background representing mutually balanced positive and negative environmental factors. The 24 sticks also represent time -the 24 hours in a day.
The inner circle represents the Sun of our solar system providing solar radiation, which energizes this wheel of life, thus causing it to spin or live. Thus, an organism or living matter “lives” by maintaining an active, dynamic order and by defying entropy via this precarious balance of environmental forces against a backdrop of the “life-giving”, chemical energy or “force” of the sun. The center of the inner circle contains a replicating molecule of DNA, the molecular basis of biological reproduction, a blueprint for life and an icon of “life” itself.
